• Authorized dealers clearing inventory: last year's references get quietly discounted. Ask — the listed price is often not the real price.

How to spot a fake "sale"

1. Check the price history. If the "was $900" price never existed anywhere, the 40% off is theater. Search the model on eBay sold listings to see what it actually trades for.
2. Compare against grey market. A 20% Black Friday discount at retail that still costs more than everyday grey pricing isn't a deal.
3. Watch the bundles. "Free strap + box" bundles hide the fact that the watch itself isn't discounted.
4. Set your target price now. Decide what each watch is worth to you in October — then buy only when November hits your number. Impulse is the enemy.
